I became a hairstylist after 17 years as a personal trainer. Growing up in Arizona, I dreamt of going to college in San Diego. I got a degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University, and worked in that field for a long time helping people achieve their fitness goals. I’ve always been an artist at heart, so when I decided to change careers, I chose Cosmetology.
In 2007, I received a scholarship to California Hair Design Academy, a local hair school. I graduated top of my class, and never looked back. I’ve happily been a hairstylist for 14 years.
I specialize in ‘Painted Hair‘ highlights, Habit Hand Tied Extensions and Gray Coverage. I love ‘hairstylist-life’, I’m able to connect with my clients, and be artistic when I go to work. Often times, you can hear me in the salon saying to my clients: “Wow! The hair I just did on you, is my masterpiece of the week.” I truly am in my element when I am painting someone’s hair.
Confession: I’m a great semi-homemade cook. My specialties are: pepperoni pizza, enchiladas and chicken pot pie, all from scratch and homemade of course!
In my free time you’ll find me with my husband, five year old son & kitty cat (Bowski). We love going to the library, relaxing at home with Netflix, but we also like to check out all of the local museums & attractions San Diego has to offer.
Being a ‘Painted Hair‘ Certified stylist is one of the pinnacles of my career. I love this method for it’s flawless results, on the thickest coarsest hair to the most delicate baby fine hair. Painted Hair is where it’s at! Come see me next time you are in San Diego.
